Mrs. Wiedemann was one of the most lovely women I have ever met. She was effortlessly elegant and wonderfully fun. I can see her gracefully swimming lap after lap at Spindletop. I have great memories of their happy home & their enormous dog Churchill. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family.

My memory of Dorcas began at the apartment she and Jeff had on 2nd street, and she was so vibrant and effervescent she made the place glow.
Then, when she and Jeff moved to Beacon Hill, she transformed the old house on the property into a real showcase. I remember the days spent there with Mark, playing down by the spring house building dams in the stream, then going up to the house all wet and muddy where Dorcas would have hot chocolate ready.
She was always kind to me, and was a godsend to her sister-in-law, Naomi Wiedeman Bacon, as a frequent visitor in mother's latter years.
Indefatigable. She is captured so perfectly in the remembrance above.

She was such an amazing woman. I feel blessed to have known her. She was the kind of person I want to be when I grow up. Glenna K. Smith
