As president of the league of women voters, she met Robert Kennedy before he went to SF at the gate. This is one of the historic moments in her life. She was on the city council for 3 4 year terms before running for state legislature during the Phyllis George regime. She brought intelligence and competence to every office that she held. She took my sister to every chemo session, driving 2-3 times weekly to Cincinnati or Cleveland. She was brave in the face of her own illness, and strong until the end. My heart breaks, but I am so blessed to have partially journeyed with her and to have been her daughter. I could never get her to answer my law questions, as we graduated our post-graduate schools the same year, but she gave me excellent advice. I will miss my mother.

I remember her fondly. She was also our council representative, the very best. My prayers and condolences to those of you who also loved her.
