I FIRST MET PETE IN 1952 WHEN HE WAS A MEMBER OF ADOLPH RUPP'S GREAT BASKETBALL TEAM. HE ROOMED WITH A CLOSE FRIEND OF MINE CLAY EVANS. WE'VE STAYED IN TOUCH FOR THE NEXT 63 YEARS. GREAT PERSON!DURING THE PAST YEAR WE BECAME VERY CLOSE AS HE WAS COMMING TO A DOCTOR HERE IN LEXINGTON AND WE'D HAVE LUNCH AT IMMANUAL BAPTIST CHURCH ROC EACH TIME HE CAME TO LEXINGTON. HE'LL BE MISSED BY MANY PEOPLE! GERRI JUST KNOW YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE IN MY PRAYER'S.

I had the honor of coaching with Pete when he was beginning his career. Pete was the person who stood out in every aspect of his life. Fond remembrances and prayers for his family.

So sorry to hear that Pete Jr. has passed. Grew up on the same street as him in Martin. Cheerleaded for Martin Purple Flash when he was playing. His family is in my prayers.
