Evelyn was a very important part of my journey as a new convert to Judaism. More than that she was someone I had the privilege and pleasure to call friend.

Knew Evelyn when she lived at Continental Towers. She was a delightful lady and very busy with volunteer work. Wishing her family be at peace.

Over the years I have thought about her and often wondered how she was doing. Evelyn Geller is one of the few UK faculty that I remember at the College of Nursing and it is because of her ability to build relationships with students (specifically me), her compassion, and her commitment to equality. Although I did not know it at the time, I had a deep respect for her commitment to nursing excellence and student learning. I remember that on graduation day, she was the only faculty that I sought out to introduce to my father. I am holding the family in the light as they celebrate her memory! Marsha

It was about a year ago when I became your roommate. You were up and about in your wheelchair, so I didn't see much of you. When you became bedridden, you seem to enjoy some of the same shows I watched, Andy Griffith, NCIS, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy. I saw that you had several books on your dresser,I decided to read them to you not knowing whether you had read them or not, but you seem to enjoy them and I enjoyed reading to you. I had one of my sisters bring me some books I had at home and some of the aides would bring me books to read to you. I would also read to you "Bedside Blessings" daily readings that a friend had given me. I found Jewish music on my phone to play for you. You were a blessing and a God send. I am going to miss you. I will cherish your memory and your friendship.

To Mrs. Geller's friends and family, you have my deepest heart felt sympathy.
