"Pete", 90, widower of Christine Breen Wells, passed away peacefully February 3, 2018 in his Georgetown, Kentucky home. He was born November 21, 1927 in Scott County to the late Lawrence and Lillie Bailey Wells. Pete was a life-time farmer, a member of Gano Baptist Church, a Pioneer Farmer of the Year, and a KY Colonel. Above all else he was a loving and devoted husband, father, papaw Pete, and Christian man. He deeply cared for his sisters and brothers and their families. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Randall D. and Angie Shearer Wells of Georgetown; granddaughter, Christie Ann (Brian) Boone of Glasgow; great grandchildren, Rebecca Catherine Boone, Colton Davis Boone, and Conley Campbell Boone; brothers and sister, Walter Wells, Bobby C. Wells, and Helen Wells all of Georgetown. He was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Ruby Minke, Aline Walters, Melvin Wells, and Orville Wells. Pete had exemplary loving care from a very special and devoted extending family of caregivers who's motto was "Pete comes first". Our family would like to especially thank the caring hands of Loretta Centers, Rosanne Short, Lorene Brumley, and Vickie Clark. Pete's family will be forever grateful to these ladies. Additional appreciation to Bluegrass Care Navigators Gold Team. Funeral services are 1pm Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Sherman Ramsey and Rev. Harry Hargis officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery with pallbearers being Willie Breen, Ricky Wise, Terry Wise, Johnny Wells, Brian Boone, Robin Wells, Ronnie Walters, and Philip Wells. Visiting hours will be 5:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be directed to Bluegrass Hospice Care 1317 US HWY 62 E Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031.
