When I bought my first horse at Keeneland in January 1982, I was so nervous I had to write the check twice. I will never forget Mr. Petit's patience and kind attitude toward me that day, and through all the years afterward, his was one of the most welcoming faces at Keeneland. I miss him even now, and send him my thanks for taking care of us horse people for so long. I know he rests in well deserved peace.

So sorry to hear this about Herbert. I worked with him at First Security Bank for twelve years. He was the nicest person you could ever meet. He always had a positive attitude and a great sense of humor. I never saw him without a smile on his face. Many condolences to the family.
