Jay you were one of those most humble and incredible teachers I ever met. Loved our gig in Maysville, with the fiddler on the roof.. See ya soon my friend... as always.. Burt.

I remember Jay in Lexington Kentucky when I used to sing jingles...we did many jingles together....Britts Dept. store, College commercials (Southern Ohio College)...call letters for radio and t.v. stations., Jim Hannon Olsdmoblie, Gino's formal affair, etc. I was a college student at U.K. in music and a local professional singer at Flaherty's III and, Continental Inn. He has also pianist in the Miss Ky. pageants I competed it. I always thought him to be so brilliant and talented...Blessings to Jay's family

It is with great sadness that I learned today of Jay's passing. Jay was a wonderful man and a fantastic musician. I feel very honored to have known him as a classmate and worked with him as a colleague at MSU. My thoughts and prayers are with Nancy, Victoria and Emily and their loved ones. Most Sincerely, Dr. Jo (Keenan) Winslow, Sun City Center, FL.

So honored to have known this gentleman. One of Patrick County's finest sons. So many accomplishments. I know his family, friends, students and colleagues will miss him. My sincerest condolences.
