I met Marjorie many years ago before she married my friend Jim Tripp. While is she in gym were dating, Marjorie came to Atlanta on business. Jim told me about Marjorie before she came to Atlanta and I offered to take her to dinner, wanting to be the good host for my friend's fiancé. Marjorie would have none of it! In fact, she made dinner for me at my home. She made a wonderful spaghetti dinner including salad, wine, bread and dessert. That was just my first experience of how Marge wanted to serve everyone else.

Unfortunately, Marge's marriage to my friend did not last. But my friendship with Marge did. I spoke with her only a few months ago. At that point, she told me how everything was fine with her. Even then, she would not disclose how difficult her situation was so that someone might help her. Marjorie was always about helping someone else.

Marjorie was a wonderful friend whom I will always remember fondly. To the Howard family and all of Marjorie's friends I extend my deepest sympathies and my wish that you would be comforted as I am by warm memories of a wonderful caring woman who lived for other people.
