Today is teacher appreciation day. Of all my teachers, my favorite of all was Pat Goodwill! I decided to write and thank her, and was saddened to learn she had passed. I was a student at Beaumont Junior during Ms. Goodwill's time there. She truly did make an amazing positive impact on so many young people's lives. We learned science of course, but so much more! We knew she truly cared about each of us. The world is definitely a better place because Pat Goodwill was here!

"We are Stardust, we are Golden", CSN lyric, was the message emblazed on a pottery piece that sat on her desk at Beaumont Jr High.
Ms Goodwill expanded our young thoughts & nurtured our love for our planet, our lives, & how we all should strive to take care of each other. Thank you for your lessons, Ms Goodwell. Rest in Peace.

Mrs. Goodwill was a huge part of my high school years at Seminole Presbyterian. She was basically the class grandmother for all 4 years. She truly loved the kids and was always there for you no matter what. She was every sports teams biggest fan including giving rides to kids who wanted to see the games but couldn't drive yet. I will always remember her taking time for me over the summer to work on the SAT's. She was a rare person in the world of education and truly devoted to education. I was very saddened by the news that she is no longer around and wish I had one more conversation with her. I know this is a rough time for family but you should know how much Pat meant to a lot of kids. Can't wait to meet up with her again one day.
