So sorry to hear of Phil's death. We will keep all of the family in prayer. Sandy and Bob Fitz
January 31, 2018
I first met Phil in 1971 when he joined the old Fayette County Police. As a lawyer, we got to know each other from cases in Fayette Quarterly Court. Instead of an adversarial relationship, Phil always shot straight with everyone. From the beginning he was most professional, as shown by the steady advancement in his career.

Many years later we became closer friends, sharing our thoughts and opinions, especially about how much he loved Barbara and all their family. A man of great faith, with a twinkle in his eye and a marvelous sense of humor, Phil fought his illness to the end like the champion he was. He loved his country, his fellow officers and his many friends.

This world will be less without him and many of us already miss him terribly. Rest in peace, dear man, until we meet again. Love, Graddy Johnson
