MOYNAHAN W. D. "Bill", 78, died Mon, Nov 16, 2015. He was the son of Ace and Margie Moynahan. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol Wyrick Moynahan; son, Michael (Susan) Moynahan; step-grandchildren, Rachel and Trey Cox; niece, Lori (Steve) Clark; nephew, Steve (Shelia) Jenkins; and cousins, Pat (Buford) McIntosh and Jay Woodruff. His sister, Dr. Carolyn Jenkins recently preceded him in death. He was employed at IBM 10 years, then a salesman with Allied Tool and Supply Co., eventually Bill became lead salesman of Industrial Tools in Central KY, and then holding the position of President and Owner with offices in Louisville and Lexington. A gifted salesman, his wit and humor were delightful. He was a member of Frankfort Country Club for 25 years, an avid golfer and UK fan. His love of basketball led him to coaching Little League in the Versailles school systems, bringing several of these teams to championships. After retiring he was involved with AA groups in Frankfort and Lexington. Bill became a wonderful witness, friend, and sponsor to many seeking sobriety and freedom from their addictions. The disease of Alzheimers took him on his final journey. North Point Health Center is to be commended for their excellent care. A Celebration of Life service will be held 6pm Fri, Nov 20, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road by Brother Stephen Bruce. Visitation will be 4-6pm Fri, prior to the service. Memorial contributions are suggested to the church he loved, Crosswoods Baptist Church, 4991 Harrodsburg Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356. Inurnment will take place at Lexington Cemetery at a later date.
