BURCHETT Curtis Reed, 82, of Lexington, formerly of Emma KY, died March 21, 2017. He was born September 28, 1934 in Emma, to the late Jeff and Emma Leslie Burchett. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, a US Army Veteran, a member of Zebulon Masonic Lodge, No. 273 Prestonsburg, KY. He was an avid sports fan of UK basketball and Cincinnati Reds baseball. He enjoyed raising tomato plants to give to friends and family, feeding his hummingbirds and a red cardinal. He is survived by one son Jeffery Hobert (Nancy) Burchett, three daughters: Emma Juanita Burchett, Marlia Ann (Jonathan) Besdine, Mary Elizabeth (Cedric Boaz) Burchett, one brother Randall (Phyllis) Burchett, one sister Rita (Jackie) Crisp, two granddaughters Devon Elizabeth Burchett and Erika Paige Burchett and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Howard, Charles and Frank Burchett, and one sister Clara Campbell. Visitation is Friday 6-9pm March 24 2017 at Hall Funeral Chapel Martin KY. Funeral Service Saturday at noon March 25 2017 at Hall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Garden, Ivel KY. Arr Hall Funeral Home Martin, KY.

I have a special place in my heart for Curt Reed. Although I didn't see him often he was always one of my favorite cousins I will remember him always. Sorry for your loss
