Susan Ware Obituary

WARE Susan Davenport, 79, wife of Ray Miller Ware, passed peacefully Saturday, February 18, 2017. She was born June 27, 1937, in West Lafayette, IN, to the late Oscar Malcomb and Sarah Elkins Davenport. She was a CPA for many years. She was an Episcopalian and also attended Crestwood Christian Church. Susan liked to cook, bake, quilt, garden, and read. Additional family survivors include a sister, Martha (Dickie) Mayland; a brother, Peter Malcomb Davenport; and other family members. She was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Douglas Ware. Service will be 2pm Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Rev. Kory Wilcoxson officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1pm Tuesday until time of service. As a former classmate at Henry Clay High School Class of 1955 and University of Kentucky Sue was a brilliant student and a kind, gracious person who will not be forgotten.
