Les was a thoughtful intelligent professional with a keen sense of what was important. I enjoyed having long discussions with him about his experience at the United States Supreme Court. My condolences to Barbara, Linda and Joe as well as the other family and friends. We will miss you Les.

Although I didn't meet Les until about 9 years ago, I count him as one of the interesting people I have met in my life. He was funny and droll and clever, and you never quite knew what he was going to say next. Finding out things about him was interesting as well, like the fact that he argued in front of the Supreme Court.. I will miss his presence at our dinner table and his appreciation for good food, good wine, and good conversation. I am so sad that he is gone.

I remember playing with Les and Joe when we were little children. Especially Joe as we were the same age. But I always have had such affection for them both. Once when I was at UK I ran into Les. His encouragement at that very time changed my life and helped me to look at things in a more mature way. I've always wished I lived closer to their whole family. RIP dear cousin.
