I have just learned of Steve's passing. It has been 25 years since I worked with Steve. I held him in high esteem as an individual and a fellow worker. Our prayers are with you and your family. Marshall (and LeVon) Wall

Steve taught us so much at Best Friends. He maintained his dignity with the help of all of us, but Gary was his primary friend on Thursday and always engaged him in some meaningful activity. Whether it was looking at car magazines, playing cards, building Jenga towers only to be beaten by Steve when it came to withdrawing the blocks, Gary would assist Steve in everything that needed to be done. Your dancing was inspiring, your thumbs up or thumbs down comments made us smile and supported your input on what Best Friends was doing. Your pictures of your younger years made us laugh, your pictures of your new granddaughter were bittersweet. We all connected with you, as you connect and inspired all of us. Your will forever remain in our hearts, our giggles, and our tears. Rest peacefully, my dear, dear BEST FRIEND
