BOWEN Donald R., 76, formerly of Lexington, KY, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on May 29, 2017 in Hershey, PA. He was born in Abington, PA, a son of the late Walton and Dorothy (Wills) Bowen Crane. Don grew up in PA and NJ, but after graduating from Toccoa Falls College in 1983, he moved his family to central Kentucky, where he served in ministry for the next 34 years. All who knew him were drawn to his generous heart, wise counsel, and love of God's truth. Don was preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years, Joanne, to whom he was completely devoted, sister Annabelle Martin, and brother James Bowen. He is survived by his daughter, Heather, wife of Jordan Irvin of New Cumberland, PA, three adoring granddaughters, Meredith, Lydia and Katie Irvin, sister Barbara Heyliger and brother William Bowen. Visitation 9:3010:30am Saturday, June 3, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 am at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Rd, Lex.
