Happy New Year!!! I pray that you are richly blessed in 2018!
Family & Friends,
Well, 2017 was a great year! It ended with a surprising and unexpected twist.
It literally took us by surprise but, God was not surprised at all.
On December 1, 2017, I was blessed to retire from teaching after 28 years in
the Fayette County Public School System.
I was so looking forward to spending more quality time with my Momma and my family.
Well, I learned quickly that my plans are not His plans.
A week ago Friday past, God called home our Sweet Angel Viola Constance Davis Brown. She's now @ peace and resting with Our Heavenly Father and Daddy.
You may have known her as Ba, Vi,
Aunt Viola, a Nurse, your confidant, Mrs. Brown, Donna's Momma,
Mother Brown, Mom, and or a friend.
I simply knew her as Momma.
In the end, we're reminded that God truly knows the plans he has for each of us.
- Jeremiah 29:11.
On Friday passed we celebrated Momma's life and her legacy. Oh what a beautiful day and Home-Going she had. ♥
God is still in control! He's a Sovereign, Gracious, Merciful, and a Loving God!!
He makes no mistakes! To God Be The Glory!!!
P.S. In closing, I'd like to share with you the song I'll hold even closer to my heart this year.
Sometime in the next few days. I pray you'll take a moment to Google Dannibelle Hall and listen to her singing;
My Tribute AKA To God Be The Glory.
With Sincerety,
Donna B Lansden ♥
(Viola's middle daughter)

I have been out of town the past week and just read about Vi's passing. It saddens me greatly. We worked together as team members years ago and it was so easy to work with her and talk to her. My condolences to the family. I'm sorry I missed the visitation. My thoughts are with you.

My classmate from George Washington Carver and Paul Laurence Dunbar Schools. Precious and fond memories of our school years.
