I have just learned of Bill's passing, and am so very sorry for your loss. He was so good to my Dad, came to the house often to visit, drove him to appointments, and was simply a great friend. After Dad passed away, Bill still came to see Mom and was always there to offer help and advice. He was a good man.

On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans (USSVI), I offer our sincere condolences on William's passing. You and your loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers. We are forever grateful for William's service to our country in the U.S. Submarine Service. To our Brother of the Phin we say, Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. May you rest in peace and may God bless your loved ones who remain. Thank you for your service to our country.

Fran and I offer our sincere condolences to Bill's family. Bill and Carol were great friends and it was a blessing to know them both. In my calls with Bill over the past several years, l can tell you he was extremely proud of the activities and accomplishments of his family- especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Peace be with you my friend-
