Sylvia was married to a long lost cousin; when I discovered this branch of my family we became pen pals. Her warm and expressive letters always mentioned her work in schools, her friends and organizational activities as well as her beloved family. I'm glad I got to know her this way.

Silvia welcomed me into our Beachcrest Drive neighborhood in 1997. She brought me a plate of muffins and homemade jam. We remained friends and she gave me a hug every time we saw each other, usually walking to the beach. She was a lovely, youthful, energetic and positive person always. I will miss her. Love to her family.

Sylvia's sincere warmth for every person she came in contact with will always be remembered. I will treasure her hug and kiss that last day at church. She had a wonderful and giving heart.

Mrs Palmer was my 5th grade teacher. I have always remembered her for teaching me poetry. She was the only teacher that really stands out in my memory. She was one of a kind ♥
