Awful sorry to hear of Uncle Ben's passing. He was a great man, always pleasant to be around and to horse around with. I enjoyed talking to him about the old days, listening to his stories, and interviewing him for the family genealogy. To say that he was a character is an understatement. We'll never forget him or his voice.

Ben will be missed by so many. He was a gentle man with the kindest heart.

So very sorry for your loss. . My mother was a cousin of his and when he was in his 20's , she had him come over to the house to teach me slow dance. He was so patient and kind, and I never forgot him even though I never got to see him again as we moved away. Cherish your memories. I am sorry that I only saw this news today or I would have attended the services. Cousin, Linda Bullard Hamner.

Ben was a fine man. I met him back in the late 80's when he was one of my customers at Waffle House on Merchants Rd. Ben was always so nice to me and I appreciated his kindness. RIP... Ben my friend.
