Candy was my nursing instructor 30 years ago at Roane State. She, Margaret, Priscilla and Elaine were amazing role models and guided me to a much loved nursing career. Her family is in my thoughts and prayers.

My sincerest sympathies to Candy's family on their great loss. She was a classy lady, wonderful teacher, and a delightful colleague. I always enjoyed seeing her graceful entrance to any meeting. Visiting with her over lunch was always a treat. She made this math professor smile. She will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear that Candy has passed away. She was my nursing instructor at Roane State 15 years ago. She was an excellent instructor and extremely knowledgeable in her field. Because she wanted her students to be prepared when they completed the program to successfully pass state boards, she had a reputation of being demanding. She was, but I am convinced this was to make sure that you would not only be prepared for boards, but also have the knowledge to work toward becoming an excellent R.N.. She was always very fair and welcomed students to come speak with her anytime they were having difficulties. She truly loved teaching and it showed. Instructors like Candy are a gift. She and Margaret Crowe were a true asset to the nursing program at Roane State
Community College. it was often said that if you could get through the program at Roane State, you wouldn't have to worry about passing your boards. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Thank you , Candy. I will always remember you and will always appreciate the wonderful job you did. I am a grateful R.N.
