I worked with Cindy as a consultant on a few occasions over the years at Scripps Networks. I will always remember her as a smart, strong, and fair person and leader, who brought the good spirit and smile you see in the picture here to everything she did.

My condolences to Cindy's husband, daughters, and friends. Certainly she is in heaven, because she is an enduring example of why heaven must exit.

Recently heard this news and was deeply saddened. Just met Cindy in 2016, via Random Acts of Flowers (RAF). In reading about all her accomplishments, she's someone I wish I would have met much earlier. She was a pioneer in so many ways. Special lady who called (and wrote) it like she saw it -- to some athletes' and coaches' chagrin! Fortunate to have seen just a little bit of her passion for RAF and the Knoxville community.

I would have enjoyed a tennis match with her...I know she would have kicked my butt.

My sincere sympathies go out to her family.

I have been following Cindy's Journey and am sad to hear of her passing. Prayers for her family as they continue on their journey in life, she will be walking beside you all of the way.

I graduated with Cindy. Powell High School was a competative place in our years. Cindy was always the fastest, the most concise and the most athletic. Oh how we wanted to be picked to be on Cindy's team; for we were assured of the win if so- assured of the loss if not. It is a testament to her endurance and her love of the battle that she could survive this type of cancer as long as she did-she simply never gives up. I talked with her some years ago to ask if she would work on a nonprofit with me. She turned me down but only because one daughter was getting married and another was off to college-she said give me some time and call me back soon. My heart goes out to all of you-I know she will be missed and there will not be another like her.
