Darwin Glenn Moyers
New Tazewell, TN
Mr. Darwin Glenn Moyers age 75 of New Tazewell, TN was born October 22, 1942 and passed from this life on Christmas day December 25, 2017. Born and raised in Claiborne County, TN he loved working on the farm with his family. He worked 30 years in sales, traveling throughout the Southeastern U.S. Upon retirement he returned home and enjoyed renewing friendship and working with the county school system. Darwin especially enjoyed sports and loved the University of Tennessee football games. He was preceded in death by his: Parents: Coker L. and Helen (Loy) Moyers Brother-in-Law: Richard Jennings He is survived by his: Loving Wife: Carolyn (Wright) Moyers of New Tazewell, TN Children: Travis Moyers of Knoxville, TN Nathan Moyers Greer Moyers both of New Tazewell, TN Sister: Sharon Jennings of Tazewell, TN Aunts: Flo Craig of New Tazewell, TN Betty Weaver and husband Jim of Louisville, TN Niece: Andra Radford and husband Joe of Tazewell, TN Several much-loved cousins and a host of other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, December 29, 2017 from 10AM until 12 noon with funeral services to follow at 12 noon in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Overholt officiating and reflections by Dan Redmond. Music will be provided by David and Stephanie Cole. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.

Carolyn, Just learned of Dawin's passing. I had the great pleasure of working with Darwin for several years. He loved his work and the people he worked with. The world had lost a fine man.

Carolyn, I am so very sorry to hear about Darwin. I always enjoyed my time around Darwin , he sure enjoyed stirring things up. He would ask a question and then set back and watch the conversation, no matter what direction the subject took us, he took quiet pleasure in gittin it going...... It will be a much sadder world without Darwin in it.....

So sorry for your loss. Heard many stories from Uncle Prent Moyers and have childhood memories of trips to New Tazewell.
