Phil was a very special man and a dear friend. Many many years ago we took a Dale Carnegie course together and remained friends from that point on. Even though we sort of lost touch after retirement I still thought of Phil with fond memories. So sorry for your loss. Prayers for comfort and strength for you all.

Our prayers to Phil's friends and family as you heal from the loss of this dear man. We always called each other cousin but neither of us knew how! My grandmother told us we were cousins (distant) and we accepted that! We go back to Joshua and Ellen Weaver. We often spoke of a mutual friend, Nellie Burkhart who has long passed. Phil was always a hard worker and a people pleaser. He made a difference in a lot of people's lives and will be missed!

Phil was my cousin and when I would stay with them in the summer for a few days he would give me a quarter to make his bed. Good man, good memories!

I had the pleasure of meeting Travis's papaw on multiple occasions while visiting the farm. I found him to be a fascinating man with an incredible mind for mechanical engineering and working with steel. I was always captivated whenever he would speak and share his thoughts with Travis and I out in the tool shed. He built many things in his lifetime but nothing as amazing as the strong bond he built with his son and grandson, and for that accomplishment he will never be forgotten. May he Rest In Peace now.
