Beth Anne and family - I just now learned of Cookie's passing. I remember my first cousin when I was 12 or 13 and she was 19 or 20 and she was a beautiful young girl that ALWAYS had a big smile and I so admired her! She remained a caring person her entire life.

Bob, Dan, & Beth....I cannot tell you how sad I was to hear of your mother's passing. She was a "golden star" in this crazy, dark world. I loved her from way back when she gave me rides home from grammar school. She was always so positive, upbeat, sincere, and warm. I NEVER saw her without a smile on her face. I am sure that smile is STILL on her face. For no doubt, she is walking the golden streets of heaven now!!! May you all find peace in knowing that is true. I will remember your family in my prayers. Dr. John McConnell III and family,
Please accept our sincere condolences in the loss of your grandmother Mrs. Frances Cookie McConnell. We felt like we knew her from the wonderful stories you shared following your visits with her in Knoxville. God left beautiful memories in your heart to give you comfort in the days ahead. May God Bless each of you at this time.

There are not enough words to express my memories of working with Cookie. Kind, considerate, loving, and just plain wonderful would be a few. She led us through the process of getting our son into the AF Academy. May God give you comfort in the loss of you loving mother.
