I only met Frieda one time at her brother's apartment in Atlanta in 1970. Her brother was my best friend at the time and she seemed very nice. I lost touch with her brother and years later when I learned of his death, I called her and recall how gracious she was to talk with me and console me about his passing. I remember that Richard answered the phone when I called and was very protective of Frieda but she insisted that she talk to me. It meant the world to me that she took the time and patience to let me know what had happened. She even invited me to their home if I was ever in the area. Her brother Harold was one of the three smartest people I had ever met, but Frieda may have well been the kindest. My condolences to Richard and your family.

We met Frieda and Richard in cardiopulmonary rehab at UT Hospital. Frieda was a beautiful, sweet, kind and caring person. The last time we saw her was at rehab, and she gave us a big hug. She blessed our lives and instilled in us a very special hope. Richard, we deeply regret your loss.
