James Gary Leeper

Knoxville - Leeper, James Gary "Frog" 77 of Knoxville, TN Tuesday, January 12, 2021 drove his boat through the gates of Heaven with his family waving to him from the banks. Gary was a retired Navy Veteran, an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a friend to many.

Gary was preceded in death by wife, Ann Leeper; parents, James and Frances Leeper; sister, Gloria Armes; brothers-in-law, Leon Shook and Jack Armes.

He is survived by children, Sherry Bailey (Gina Brown), Bill (Lisa) King, Janice (Shawn) Whaley; grandchildren, Angie King, Kate Talley, Megan Whaley, Aubriee Whaley; great grandchildren, Jordan Mayes, Reese Talley, baby boy Talley due in the Spring; sisters, Brenda (Ray) Brakebill, Joan (Larry) Burton, Jean Shook; several nieces and nephews; special companion, Diane Goins.

Graveside service will take place Friday, January 15th at 1pm at Berry Highland Memorial 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. Masks are required.
