We always looked forward to, and enjoyed, the visits we were able to have with Laverne. We were always comfortable being with her. Though she's gone, her light still shines.

Please accept my sympathy at this sad time. I got to know LaVerne during the time I was Bill's ICU nurse in our Monroe hospital. It was a privilege and blessing for me to have worked with Dr Maddix for several years. He was an incredible physican and a truly good man. It was a pleasure to meet and become LaVerne's friend while I was caring for Bill. She was a very kind, positive and loving person. May God bless each of you with comfort and strength.

This lady was one of the kindest and most appreciative ladies i know. I use the term lady very seriously because she was the epitome of a lady.
Laverne was a client of mine when i first met her and after having her in my chair many many times and many many sharing conversations, now i call her a friend. I will miss her.
I pray for comfort for her family .
