Karen, our hearts are broken as so many people. Not knowing about John devastated us to no end. We cried then laughed about the good times. You will never meet a finer, sweeter person than John and you were so fortunate to have him in your life so long, but should have been longer. You guys were like family to us and Jeremiah looked at him as a father figure. He was always there for everyone, no matter the situation. Evidently, God was in need of a special Angel and he surely got one. A piece of your heart is forever gone, but his love and memories will always be with you. You and your family are forever in our prayers that you will find peace and happiness in knowing you got to spend your like with such a great man. We love you....Becky and Jeremiah Jones

Dear family,
John was the kindest man I think I have ever met. I am a school teacher and often went to Kroger in the early morning around 6:00 a.m. He would walk me to my car and make sure I was inside. He then would always tell me to have a good day. I am so sorry for your loss and know his kind soul will be forever missed.

This morning, I started my day as usual. When I got to the work and started walking toward the store, one of our vendors drove up to me with a concerned look on his face. What he had to say continues to break my heart.
It says a lot about anyone when their departure affects the thoughts of so many with such intensity.
My coworkers and I have been wandering the store today in a fog. Some are better than others by holding back tears. Some wait until they get home.
It will take Time for the shock of our loss to dissapate. The emptiness left in our lives will eventually heal. We'll need to to do that together.
John will always be Family.
