John "Jack" Howard Atwell, II

John "Jack" Howard Atwell II, age 68, of Knoxville, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 22, 2017, while surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was born January 20, 1949 in Steubenville, Ohio. Jack is preceded in death by father, John Howard Atwell and mother, Joyce Linette Buck. He is survived by wife, Judith Elaine Atwell; children, Tracie (Clark) Lee, John (Kristie) Atwell III, Jennifer (Jason) Vittatoe and Kimberly (Matt) Raby; grandchildren, James, Lauren, John IV, Gabriel, Logan and Ellison; siblings, Hank, Bill, Judy, Kenna Beth and Betty Kaye.
Jack graduated from Milford High (Ohio) and earned his BS from the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy. He began his career at Glick's Pharmacy and retired from CVS. Jack continued working part-time at Munsey Pharmacy before fully retiring in 2017. Many of his interests included boating, cars and motorcycles, antiquing, outdoor activities, and enjoying family time.
The family will welcome friends at West End Church of Christ, in Knoxville, on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 3:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. A Celebration of Jack's Life will follow at 4:00p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Jack's memory to West End Church of Christ, 8301 East Walker Springs Lane, Knoxville, TN 37923.
