Mary Doris Cannon Duckett

Mary Doris Cannon Duckett, age 83 of Alcoa, went to be with Jesus Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Asbury Place. She loved her Lord and was a member of Niles Ferry Baptist Church, Greenback. Music was very important part of her life as a pianist, organist, and choir director. She also taught many people piano. She was a longtime member of Mary Blount O.E.S. and was Grand Organist in 1996. Preceded in death by her father and mother, John Lloyd and Bertha Weaver Cannon; siblings, Mabel Cannon Niles (Charles Edward Niles), Molly Cannon Taylor (George Wallace Taylor), John Denver Cannon, Ruby Cannon Smith (Robert Smith, Raymond T. Cannon, Ralph Lloyd Cannon.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James Albert Duckett; daughter, Jan Duckett Dixon (Glen R. Dixon), son, Jeff Duckett (Kim); grandchildren, Christopher Dixon (Kristin), Jonathan Duckett (Bethany), Jared Duckett (Melissa), Jama Madore (Billy); great grandchildren, Ethne Dixon, Kinsley, Kambree, and Liam Duckett, Merrit Madore; sisters-in-law, Shirley Cannon and Mary Ann Tallant Cannon; nieces and nephew, Deb Taylor Schablik (Jay), Linda Smith, and Ken Smith (Wanda).
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Ben Styles officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Sherwood Mausoleum for the entombment.
