So sorry to read this. My condolences and sympathy to the entire Settle Family. I was fortunate to spend a Summer or two in Pigeon Forge and share some good times with Bob, Joan, Mark and Cathy many years ago. In addition to attending Church at Liberty Babtist. Working with Cathy at The Old Mill. Church picnics and events. Those are some very special memories. Best wishes and prayers to all. Donald Gray (Oregon) Bob

Pastor Settle was a dear brother to me. He baptized me in May 1988 as a baby in the Lord. He has meant more to me then I could ever express here. I was 29 years old then and was beginning my walk with the Lord. One of the greatest things he had ever told me was this: I was only 2 weeks old in the Lord and wanted to sell all that I had and walk all over America and tell people about Jesus, after telling the Pastor about this, Bro. Settle asked me if I would just wait 6 months and set under his teaching and get grounded then he would support me if I still felt lead to go. I have thanked him many times in my heart for this wise advice. He and I for those 6 months knocked on many doors on Thurs. nights, we have cried together, prayed together and shared together for souls. Having moved to Az. I had lost touch with him over the years, but, glory to God, I will rejoice with him again one day in Heaven. I dearly miss you brother but I have this blessed hope that I will see you again and thank you and your dear wife for your service in the Lord. With Love, Ed Ernest

Dr. Settle's legacy is far reaching in his Love of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
What I see through his beloved children are the instilled values of living life to its fullest and a continued growth of God's love through their actions.

To Mrs. Settle and children go my prayers and thoughts during this time. As time passes you will remember all the good and great things your father stood for. To me he was the last of the great pioneers for Christ in this century.

Lots of love to the Settle Family.

Mimi Keener.

Our prayers are with you in your loss. We attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hickory and Dr. Settle was our Pastor for many years. We have high respect and fondness for Dr. Settle and Joan. They showed the love of God in their lives and to others.
