William Reece Grooms

William Reece Grooms departed his Earthly home for his Heavenly home on Monday, June 11, 2018, surrounded by his loving family, having fought a courageous battle of cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Bob Grooms; sisters, Barbara "Jo" Cates and Jane Ann Grooms; grandparents, Pearl and Roy Wheeler and Milas and Belle Grooms; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Polly and Dean Ealy; nieces and nephews, Reecie, Donna and Mike "Kramer" Cates; and numerous aunts and uncles. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl; boys, Josh and Cody; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Carole and Jimmy Dale and Tammy; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Glenda Dean and Arlis McNealy; cousin who was like a sister, Dot Barnes; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins; his co-workers at Dow Chemical, formerly Rohm and Haas Knoxville, Tennessee; and many, many other friends. Funeral Services will be at 7:00 pm, Friday, June 15, 2018 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Clevenger and Scott Gorrell officiating. The family will receive friends at Manes Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 pm Friday prior to the funeral services. Entombment will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Resthaven Memorial Mausoleum. For those wishing to do so, Memorials in Memory of Reece can be made to Celebrate Life Cancer Support, P.O.
