Alice M. Lynch
LANCASTER: Alice Marcella Lynch, 100, of Lancaster passed away on Tuesday May 24, 2016 at the Homestead Nursing Home. She was born on March 14, 1916 to the late Henry J. and Edna (Ety) Paugh. Alice graduated from Liberty Union High School, Basil, OH. She retired from J.C. Penny. Alice loved working in her many flower gardens. Alice was a member of Fairfield Community Church, Lancaster.
Alice is survived by her daughter Donna (Jim) Daubenmire of Lancaster; daughter Kay Branstetter of Missouri, daughter-in-law Mary Jo (McConville) Lynch; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard S. Lynch Sr., her parents, son Howard S. Lynch Jr., granddaughter Karen Daubenmire, son-in-law William Branstetter, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 11:30AM on Saturday May 28, 2016 at the Fairfield Community Church 860 E. Mulberry St. Lancaster, OH with Pastor Larry Kirby officiating. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Cremation is in the care of Sheridan Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Alice's name to the Fairfield Community Church 860 E. Mulberry St. Lancaster, OH or to FairHoPe Hospice 282 Sells Rd, Lancaster, OH. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Homestead and FairHoPe Hospice for their loving care of Alice. Such beautiful gardens. I remember them, so we'll. I also remember sledding down the hill into the fairgrounds, as a child. I think Daddy had more fun watching us, than we actually did. He would laugh and laugh. Then we would warm up with some Hot cocoa.
The Afgan Aunt Alice and Aunt Nellie worked so hard on, for my wedding, is still very cherished and beautiful.
