Ivan E. Bigham
LANCASTER: Ivan E. Bigham, 81, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Pickering House. He was born November 13, 1934 in Lancaster, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jo-Ann; three sons, Ronald (Patricia) Bigham of Indianapolis, IN, Daniel (Charlotte) Bigham of Bremen and Greg Bigham of Zanesville; three daughters, Karen Bigham of Alexandria, VA, Belinda Castle of Lancaster and Beverly (Bob) McFarland of Somerset; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl Bigham of Lancaster and Harold (Donna) Bigham of Sugar Grove; and sister, Lena Simpson of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his father, David Bigham; mother, Elva Bigham Watters; and two sisters, Dena Fox and Agnes Cupp.
Cremation has taken place with Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2 PM in the First Church of God, 732 E. Sixth Ave., Lancaster with Ivan's grandson, David McCandlish officiating. Calling hours will take place one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ivan's memory to FairHoPe Hospice or Foundation Shelters.

Sorry to hear of Ivan's passing. My parents became acquainted with Ivan when they moved on their farm in 1949. I met Ivan when he began working at the plant. Later on , Joann was one of the security guards at the cereal factory. Still later I met Dan, Charlotte and Kyle. A few years ago I met David and his family. Many people have been affected , in a positive way , through Ivan,s friendship. Also the world is a better place thanks to the way he lived his life. I am glad to have Ivan as a friend. My condolences to all of Ivan,s family.

Rod and I are so sorry for your loss. Ivan was one of the very nicest people we have ever known. Rod is so lucky that he was able to know Ivan from working with him. I was blessed to know his wonderful grandchildren at school. All of you have our deepest sympathy.
