Sadie Ann Moore
Baltimore, OH: Sadie Ann Moore, age 86, passed away at home surrounded by her family and favorite kitties on August 14, 2017. She was born on January 28, 1931 to Otis and Sadie Holdren of Stevens Branch Road, Ratcliffburg - a suburb of Allensville in Vinton County, Ohio. Annie was a hairdresser for sixty years most of that time spent at Steve's Beauty Shop in the Old Troutman Building in downtown Columbus. On February 5, 1949, she married the love of her life Merle Justin "Judd" Moore in Greenup, Kentucky, who preceded her in death in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her brother, George Holdren of Ratcliffburg, and sisters, Mary Smeltzer of California and Pauline Carson of Georgetown, Ohio. Surviving are her sister, Pearl Seward of Virginia and brother, Mike (Toby) Holdren of Chillicothe, Ohio and sister-in-law, Nyla Holdren of Ratcliffburg, Ohio. Since 2000 she has resided in Baltimore, Ohio. Ann was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church and served as a greeter at the Millersport Church. An avid gardener, her home was always surrounded by flowers. Ann was a very social person and had many friends. She would like to thank a few for their help: Roger Woods, Marilyn Waits, Al and Jamie Huth, the Gayer Family, Sterner Family, Carol Kaufman, Pat Sideheimer and her very special niece, Mary Ellen Smith and her nephew, Todd Holdren and his wife, Karla. At her request, no services will be held. Ann will be interned at Kingwood Memorial Park in Lewis Center, Ohio next to Judd. In her memory she would welcome donations to the Basil Joint Fire District EMT Service, 410 W Washington St, Baltimore, OH 43105 and FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 both helped her stay in her home until she passed.
