I am so sorry to hear of George's passing! He was one of a kind and will be missed dearly! I'm thankful for the time I got to spend caring for him and Betty in their home. They were so kind and generous, and truly cared about all of their friends and family! I'm lucky to have known them both and I will never forget them and I will cherish the memories and stories they passed along to me!

Uncle George was a nice, funny man. I was so privileged to interview him about his time in the Army in World War 2 for the Library of Congress Veterans Project which will be able to be viewed in a few months as they are going through the work of making it a part of their records.

Coach Stokes was a very good man. He pushed me in high school swimming to be the best. He was good at sports psychology and new how to make me work hard for our team. I thank God for his guidance and support.
