I worked for the SCMHS and never met anybody quite as intelligent, inspiring, and down to earth as this amazing lady. I hope she recycles soon -- this world needs her!

Dr.Grayce Sills was a great persons and advocate for prevention services in the mental health system. She was Chairperson of a Board created subcommittee of the Southwest Community Mental Health Center (Netcare, Inc.) in the early 80's and her leadership solidified the importance of consultation, education and prevention services. As Director of Prevention for the agency at the time, I had the distinct honor of working closely with her on Strategic Plans and on-going programming. Her integrity, expertise and contacts were a tremendous help to me and my staff in developing and delivering an array of prevention services in the southwest quadrant of Franklin County, Ohio. May she rest in peace.

Grayce was a person blessed by God with profound qualities and she used her gifts to make us and the world around us a better place for all. I am sure I would be speaking for many when I say that when you spoke with Grayce you knew and felt she cared deeply for the concerns of your heart. Her compassion was palpable.....as if she was experiencing your hardship with you.
Grayce was blessed with a great intellect paired with vision which enabled her to help so many through their personnel and professional lives....and help so many SHE DID!
Everyone and everything Grayce touched was profoundly influenced for the betterment of all.
Books can be filled by the unselfish accomplishments of Grayce...and they will be written documenting her well known contributions to her field of nursing.

But Grayce's more profound legacy of her walk on this earth will be documented between the lines of print on the pages.....
The time she payed a young nursing students tuition, the times she let an aspiring young pilot fly with her out of Don Scott Field to Case Western where she was teaching a class. The multitude of encounters we all had with Grayce where she would drop everything that she was doing just to be there ....when you needed her!
I will miss seeing Grayce's smile, hearing her laugh, listening to her wisdom, seeing her joy, and feeling her love! But none of us will miss her light because she left it with us. The light of her presence helped shape us all and remains to help light our way. God blessed Grayce with so many gifts and she held nothing back for herself but passed it all to us. May she rest in the joy and peace of Christ!
