I am so sorry to learn that Joan passed away. Thinking of all of you in the Maus family. She was quite a woman. I will always remember her smile.

So sorry to hear about Joan. We were away last week-end. All our best to the family

With the utmost love and sadness, we express our sorrow and prayers to the entire MAUS family on the loss of JOAN. She was, to me, my 2nd MOTHER. My childhood was based around the experiences I always had @ that incredibly loving household. Most especially when, after school, before homework and projects, the girls would pile around the piano and sing "Bye- Bye Miss American pie" from Don Mcclean, and other songs... This family is one to use as an example of unity and strength. I have always been in love with them and always will be. Joan is the reason for that, a MATRIARCH, amongst us all.
With so much love, Marcella Thesing

I was very saddened to hear of your loss. I have the fondest memories of spending time with Missy in your Lancaster home as a teenager. I thought your family was about the coolest family I knew. Your mother was a lovely woman and you will always carry her memory in your heart. Love and hugs to all of you.
