Barbara Sue Bishop
PLEASANTVILLE: A funeral service, celebrating the life of Barbara Sue Bishop, 56, of Pleasantville, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016, the chapel of the Thornville Home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with burial to follow in the Millersport Cemetery.
Barb died peacefully on Monday, May 2, 2016, in the Pickering House, Lancaster, following an extended illness. She was born September 1, 1959 in Middletown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Eugene and Lou Mae (Capenter) Eckler. She was a graduate of Carlisle H.S., class of 1977, and had worked at the McKittrick drive thru in Millersport and the Millersport IGA.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Rodney, children Duston Bishop, Michael (Tara) Oldfield, Bradley Oldfield, Cassandra (Brad) Bay; grandchildren Brooke, Michael, Danielle, Tyson and Tristan; her siblings Chet (Nancy) Eckler, Vanessa (John) Mokas, Ruth Ann (Jon) Sharp, Jason (Anna) Richardson, Amy Stout; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 56 South Main St. in Thornville, on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m.
The family prefers that memorials be directed to the FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The world has lost an amazing person, but heaven gained a beautiful angel. Barb has crossed that rainbow bridge. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten! Love and prayers for comfort and healing to all who knew Barb.

Rodney and family members, I am so sorry for the loss of Barb. I know this is a very difficult time for each of you but rest assured that she is in God's hands and is no longer suffering.
