Charles "Tim" Hizey
LANCASTER: Charles "Tim" Hizey, 66, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 at his residence. He was born August 6, 1949 in Columbus to John and Edith (Bodle) Hizey. Tim attended the Amanda U.M. Church, and was a member of the Teamsters, Local #284 in Columbus. He was a truck driver for over 42 years, employed by Kroger, Commercial Motor Freight, and Martin Brower. Tim was a 1967 graduate of Bloom Carroll H.S.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn (Bittinger) Hizey; children, Jessica (Josh) Wright, Tarra (Josh Parsons) Hizey all of Lancaster, Roland Hizey of Phoenix, AZ, and Rachel Hizey of Lancaster; 7 grandchildren; mother, Edith Moore of Lancaster; and brother, John Robert (Carla) Hizey of Carroll. He was preceded in death by his father, John Hizey; and step-father, Milo Moore.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Rev. Tim Lehman officiating, and cremation to follow. The family will receive friends from 4-6 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to service.
The family request memorial contributions to Ohio Right to Life, 88 E. Broad St., #620, Cols., OH 43215 in Tim's memory.
