Walter Stambaugh
Lancaster: Walter Uvis Stambaugh passed away on October 2, 2017 at the Fairfield Medical Center. Walter was born on October 19, 1942 to the late Paul and Arnie Stambaugh in Pickerington, Oh.
Walter is survived by his sisters, Avis M. (Gary) Smith, and Mavis (Robert) Doolittle; nephews, Todd Stambaugh, Edward Stambaugh, and Scott Smith; child by choice, Lisa (Ted) Turner; and grandchildren by choice, Nathan, Brittany, Elizabeth, and Andrew.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia; and brothers, Arvis (Mary), Ivis (Judy), and Alvis Stambaugh.
A funeral service will take place at 12:30 P.M. on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME officiated by Pastor Tony Hudson. Burial will follow the service at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Olivedale Veteran's Group, 253 Boving Rd., Lancaster, OH, 43130

Strong, stubborn, independent man, great man who loved his family and country. I remember growing up and being so excited to see grandma and grandpa. Knowing I would get honeycomb for breakfast. We always had fun and I learned so many valuable lessons from him and grandma Pat growing up. Never had a dull moment at grandma's and grandpas. He will be missed not only by me and my family but so many others. Love you Grandpa!
