Glen Barr
AMANDA: Glen V. Barr, 78, formerly of Amanda, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Arbors at Carroll. He was born April 16, 1939 in Fairfield County and was the son of the late C. Walter and Carrie Barr. He was a former member of Israel Lutheran Church. He attended Fairfield Industries Workshop for over 30 years and competed in the area Special Olympics. He played basketball for Fairfield Industries and later managed the team.
He is survived by a sister, Loretta Neff of Columbus and a brother, Dean (Pat) Barr of Minden, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Ruth Barr of Lancaster and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Barr and a brother-in-law, Rodney Neff.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda. Burial will follow in Dutch Hollow Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday.

To Glen's family,
I am very sorry for your loss.
I was a driver for Fairfield County (MRDD) and I had Glen on my bus for several years when he was at Winchester Home. A sweet dear man, fun to be around!! RIP Glen.

One fine human being who was full of good stories and good will and was always willing to lend a hand.
We enjoyed the many times he spent w/ us at United Way member Camp Shining Sun/Rainbow.
