I worked with Dr Miller at Kaiser Panorama City for many years. He was a good man, but could be so frustrating! I had to decide if I wanted to hug him or strangle him on many occasions! Thankfully hugs won the tip. When he chose to show that sensitive, loving side, it was profound. He was so sensitive to parents who were facing their most difficult challenges with having a premature or ill baby. Alvin, because of you, I have been changed for the better, changed for good!

I had the privilege of getting to know Dr. Miller during the Eve and Gene Black summer medical internship program through Los Angeles Pediatric Society. Dr. Miller was an incredible source of inspiration and knowledge, inspiring my fellow peers and I to continue studying medicine during our college careers. Dr. Miller always brought love and laughter to the hospital, and a large basket of strawberries! My experiences with Dr. Miller were nothing short of wonderful. My condolences to his family, he will be dearly missed.

Dr. Miller was the best. He could diagnose without a computer, lab work or xrays. We enjoyed many concerts where he played the violin beautifully. He was clever, funny, talented & we will miss him. We were honored to have met him.

I worked as a health educator for many years with Dr. Miller. He used to help me teach prenatal classes and he was a wealth of information for all the expectant parents. He was an awesome pediatrician. I had 10 foster children - all of them babies, during the time I worked with Dr. Miller. After that, my own daughter was born. On several occasions, I called Dr. Miller in the middle of the night when one of my babies had a high fever or was going through drug withdrawals, etc. No matter what time it was, he always picked up his phone and he always knew the exact treatment that was needed. Like many parents, I tremendously relied upon him and all his knowledge. He had an amazing sense of humor and years and years worth of funny and engaging stories. I will truly miss him.
