Dear Eric and family, I met Colleen shortly after she left DirecTV because I rescued a Boston and contacted her about placing it. I am with Perfect Pet Rescue and we try, when possible, to send a pure breed dog to the proper rescue. Over the years we worked together, had lunch a couple of times and I so admired Colleen. That is kind of an understatement. She was amazing; good, kind loving and she worked so hard at everything she did.
In July I managed to get a young little female Boston out of Downey shelter and I sent her a message because I knew she would love this dog. She told me she was unable to take a dog or help. I ended up keeping the dog myself. Several times I wrote to ask about bringing the dog to visit her. When I didn't hear back I knew that times were bad.
I am so sorry to have read about Colleen's passing earlier this month.
I have Australian Shepherds, Norwegian Elkhounds, and now I have Colleen's dog, my Rosebud. She is a seal colored 16 pound girl with a little circle right in middle of the white stripe on her head. I've come to know the Haggerty dot. Rosebud sleeps in bed with us every night, just as Colleen would have liked.
May Colleen's memory be a blessing.

To say that Colleen had a wicked sense of humor is a feeble understatement. We worked together at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius and, whenever she moseyed into my office with that sly smile, I knew we were about to wreak havoc in our staid law firm. With little encouragement, I was in. Inevitably, hilarity ensued. Over the years, we married, our career paths took different turns, we moved. Still, we exchanged Christmas cards. Always, she sent a photo of herself, Eric and the family. While she may no longer be walking among us, her memory will live with me for all time. Linda Dus Hamilton
