My dear Mentor and Friend you and Dory were so special to Patricia and I. You were a model of a Human Being and will forever hold a special place in my heart. I am at peace knowing you are watching over your beloved CSUN.

I have fond memories of Dean Peckham from the days we served on the University Student Union Board of Directors at CSUN back in the early 1980s.
I was a student from 1979-1984 (yes, the 5 year plan, even back then). Dean Peckham was approachable, endearing and really connected with the students.
Although I did not have a chance to experience this myself, I am told that he and his wife put on pretty spectacular parties at their home for his colleagues and students.
I am thankful that I had a chance to interact with him, even though a short amount of time, in his full lifetime.

To the Peckham Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
