Dad, you always stressed the fundamentals.

You taught me responsibility, accountability.

and most of all `Hard Work!'.

You were a `Fountain of Wisdom!'.

Hi Dad,
Tomorrow is your day! Sunday,1957. Mom did a big pool party for you. Hambergers + dogs in the breezeway. May, Pat, Patsy + her new Navy husband Dick" + Anne, Uncle Dale + friend Rita. Me, Mark + Sherri in the pool. What a wonderful day! Sherri in her pink bathing suit, Pink floaties & long red hair. You + Mom filming all in 8 MM. Just before you passed, you finally admitted to me that you still had those 8 mm's. I wanted to put them on DVD's & send them to Mark & Sherri. But I never got them. Everyone enjoyed the sugar sweet orange banana's from our yard. God, I miss you Dad !!!!
Love Always & Forever,

Sherri, As you know, Fred was `easy on the eyes & charming.' Our favorite cousin! Have more photos to send. 12th birthday with his new bike. Ida & Mom baked 2 cakes. Fred was like Dad's son. Taught him how to use his lathe. But you knew that. Patsy died. We want you to have a few things. Just you and me now.
Need to catch up. Call.

Our stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nick (?) soon would be there.

You read while I mumbled the words till asleep.
"Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer and Vixen!
On Comet, on Cupid, on Donder, and Blixen!" Zzzzz!

In the moring your face showed tired and slow.
You didn't fool me. Your smile had a grin and a glow!
Well... I sorta' didn't know! Love and miss you Dad.
