September 26, 1922 - April 24, 2016 Gail C. Potter, age 93, passed away at his home in Tarzana, California on April 24th, 2016 surrounded by his family and loved ones. A longtime community leader in the San Fernando Valley for over 60 years. Including President of the Encino Chamber of Commerce. His dedication to community and local politics was never ending. He founded D & G Escrow Corp. over 60 years ago, and worked up until a few weeks prior to his death. He is survived by his wife Lori of over 50 years and his 3 children, Jim Potter, Jana Potter and Penni Potter Perez. He had 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. His family was the love of his life.. He loved to travel the world with his friends and family. Originally from Coffeeville Kansas, at 20 he gave up his law studies and volunteered to enlist in the U.S. Army. He was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He earned a Bronze Star, and was invited to be part of the 1944 parade in New York City. A memorial Service will be held on Friday May 20, 2016, at St. Mel's Church, 20870 Ventura Blvd., in Woodland Hills at 5:00 pm. A memorial reception will follow from 6-8pm.

I can't believe it is 4 years today since you left us. I will never forget you. You were such an amazing man and we all loved working for you. Thank you for believing in me and giving me the chance to work with Lori your amazing wife and my great teacher. Your family will always be so special to me. To my amazing friends I miss u all so. The memories of all of you and your amazing father never leave my heart. I Google all of you randomly to see how you are. And tonight to find out . I'm sad I kept putting of seeing him. He was an amazing man. Gail I loved you like a father. I respected you like no other. Though it's been sooo long since I've seen him I know the world
