Dear Rita,

Your Dad and I were office mates in the early 50's. We designed together, played bridge
together and sometimes ate together. Your mom's beef stroganoff was the pleasure of my
life back then. After Gino changed organizations at Hughes and didn't need to commute so far to work his reputation grew bigger until he was designing everything in Hughes Missile Systems Canoga Park. We stayed in frequent touch but had to give up our lunches and weekly bridge games. Fortunately, over 60 years we would occasionally get together and reminisce about early
design challenges and old friends. I will miss my cigar smoking friend very much and hope the lasting loving memories of your Dad will eventually take the place of your grief.

As a long-time family friend, I wish you well,

Bryce Wheeler

I met Gino a few times over the last 20 years and I think he was a very remarkable man, respected and highly regarded by all who knew him well. He will be greatly missed. Wilma Wheeler

On behalf of his alma mater, the University of Rochester, our thoughts and condolences go out to Gino's family. Gino was a warm, generous man who lived a long rich life. May the ripples of the splash of his life carry on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Gino was a man I highly regarded, respected and felt comfortable being around. A quiet man of wisdom, strength and knowledge. I will miss his presence in our lives.

Gino was a gentleman of the old school. A visit to Gino always entailed being treated to a delightful Italian dinner at one of his favorite restaurants with the assurance of terrific service and delicious food. I recently read some abstracted descriptions of his inventions on the internet. Amazing stuff! He was blessed with long life. He is missed.
