They're burying Gordon Gumpertz today--
they're burying him in the sand.
Not where he fought for his country,
But in this desert land.
A man I knew and enjoyed so much,
He had a way about him--a gentle touch.
We'll miss him at the library
And in the Guild,
For the many gifts he offered
And we beheld. I wished I could have said Goodbye before they rang his bell,
To a man I enjoyed knowing--goodbye and fare thee well.

Gordon was a kind, generous, creative, very bright man. He was helpful to me when I was starting my marketing career. Jenny edited my book. Gordon and Jenny were wonderful to Sol when he visited with David over the years. We are all proud to have known him. We now have our memories.

Love to Jenny, David, Jennifer, and Suzanne.

I worked at Gumpertz Bentley Fried back in the 1970's and remember Gordon very well. i remember him as a wise, kind and knowledgeable leader and mentor. I offer my condolences to his family but am also glad to read about his many achievements that I wasn't aware of. What a wonderful memory his family must have of his accomplishments. Quiet a gent.

Dear Jenny and Family,

May there be comfort in knowing that someone as special as Gordon will never be forgotten. My thoughts are with you.
